Physiotherapist

About Riley

Riley is a graduate of the Physiotherapy (hons) Program at the University of Central Lancashire, United Kingdom. His interest in physiotherapy developed during his childhood as he played many sports including a competitive career in junior hockey and a year playing college soccer in BC. Riley grew up in the small town of Nakusp, BC, where he cultivated a passion for hiking, biking, snowmobiling, and community sports such as soccer, baseball, basketball, golf and hockey. Throughout his youth, he also had the privilege of winning two provincial titles in hockey and one in soccer. In his spare time he enjoys playing the guitar and shows a great passion for music.

His love for athletics and weightlifting motivates him to maintain a healthy lifestyle and guided him towards a treatment style that is sports focused and movement based. Before pursuing a career in physiotherapy, Riley became a journeyman electrician which has given him a great understanding for treatment and injury prevention within the trade force.

“Today I had an initial acupuncture appointment with Debra. She was great. Debra also did cupping on my back and this wasn’t cupping I’ve been accustomed to. Typically, I had it where the cup is placed on an area for a period of time then pulled off, however, Debra was moving the cup all over my back and then left a bunch on while she worked the other side. I haven’t felt this loose and good for a long time. I’ll be scheduling another acupuncture and cupping session in the future fur sure. If you have Instagram, check out their page and watch the video that says, “Spring Cleaning” on it. Their page is vernon_active_health . 🙂 Highly recommend and the staff are great!”
